Catherine II (the Great)/Bravery Bronze Award Medal, "1788". NGC MS-64 Brown. Dia-208.1. An absolutely stunning survivor of this VERY SCARCE novodel issue, featuring brindled chocolate tones throughout the fields with lilac and bluish highlights clinging to the legends. This medal was instituted on 15 July 1788 for presentation in gold and silver, but none in those metals are known of this specific type. From the Sigma Collection.
