Описание продавца

Gold 50 Zlotych 1829-FH AU58 NGC, KM-C119, Bitkin 978 (R1), Kopicki 2744 (R3), Fr-109. A superb rarity in the Polish gold series with a reported mintage of only 1,878 pieces, many of which have not survived to the present. Not without abrasions, but certainly lustrous and deserving of its nearly uncirculated status. Though issued during the reign of Nicholas I, the coin famously features a laureate-draped bust of Alexander I. At the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the Duchy of Warsaw was dissolved, and most of its territory became the Kingdom of Poland (Congress Poland), under the personal union with the Russian Tsar. Russia gained significant influence over this new Polish state, while Prussia acquired the western part, including the Grand Duchy of Posen, and Austria received the territory around Kraków. The city of Kraków was declared a free city under the joint protection of Russia, Prussia, and Austria. These changes curtailed Polish sovereignty, placing Polish territories under the control of neighboring powers. This period marked the beginning of a century-long struggle for Polish independence, which would eventually culminate in the re-establishment of Poland as an independent nation after World War I
