Rouble 1762 MMД-EM MS62 NGC, Red mint, KM-C67.1, Dav-1683, Bit-120. A spectacular piece of the scarce first year of issue for Catherine II. Usually encountered with conditional modifiers or subjected to heavy wear, whereas the present offering stands head and shoulders above the examples generally available to commerce. A mark to the obverse field around 4 o'clock noted for completeness, yet this lovely offering features a full-bodied strike and is bestowed with rolling luster on the reverse. Presently the finest certified by NGC and tied with one other in the PCGS graded population.
