Obverse: Soldier (representing Russia) clad in ancient armor, wielding sword and shield, and advancing upon Akhaltsikhe fortress; Ottoman soldiers retreat in background, with fallen soldier at feet; Reverse: Crowned imperial double eagle, with coat-of-arms and order chain on breast, and holding orb and scepter; crown above; all within wreath. A RARER and seldom seen example from the series, this elegant specimen presents a rather sharp overall appearance along with immense brilliance and allure.
